"Has a lot of historical charm, feels like you’re stepping back in time. Very convenient to the hot springs and walkable to restaurants via the pedestrian bridge. Had a drink at the patio restaurant which was lovely, for some reason the inside bar wasn’t open during our stay, maybe it’s seasonal/weather dependent? Room was fairly standard, clean. It had a window AC unit, not central air, but it was cool enough we didn’t need it."

"When we pulled up to the St. Moritz, my first thought was "uh, oh." It looks pretty derelict from the outside. It is an old property, so don't expect anything fancy. But it was a pleasant surprise to discover that the interior was clean and fresh and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. Two extra pleasant surprises were the beds/bedding and the breakfast. The beds, pillows, and bedding were of excellent quality and very comfortable. The breakfast was a wonderful spread, with tons of fresh fruit and mostly healthy options. If you are a light sleeper, get a room on the second floor. I was on the first floor and could hear every floor squeak and footstep from above. For the price, you can't beat it! (I paid $309/night on Expedia.)"

"One of the nicer places I have ever booked from hotels.com. The building is at an excellent location with easy walking to all of Vail Village. Very nice hot tub and patio out back facing green space and walking trails. The lodge is very nicely appointed with very heavy wooden doors and nice furniture. I can't imagine a better place to stay. We were there in September so no skiing, but the Gopher Hill lift is a very quick walk from the hotel as is the Gondola."

"First thing I noticed was the dirty elevator while going up to our room. When exiting the elevator to the 4th floor a strong odor of feces hits you. The room was ok but everytime you flush the toilet you could hear bubbling noises in the sink and a strong odor of feces came after. We were charged a $50 “damage fee” and the staff said we would get it back after checking out as long as there were not damages to the room. We did not damage the room in any way and they kept our $50."
