"The resort was beautiful. Room was clean and very modern. Only thing is on the weekends there are some wedding photo shoots only in the morning time. They don't bother anyone but it's just a minor inconvenience. The pool was a huge plus, it was really nice and always warm. Not sure if it's heated or not but it sure felt like it."

"We stayed at Subhas Hotel for 9 nights and we had an excellent experience! The Hotel staff were very kind, polite, and helpful! They answered all our questions and eager to help in anyway they can. They made our trip to Jaffna a great experience. The Hotel breakfast was amazing and definitely something I was looking forward to every morning! I would strongly recommend trying their breakfast. They also offered very affordable and quick laundry service, which really helped with my entire trip to Sri Lanka. Definitely recommend staying here again."

"We are a family of six stayed in 2 rooms for 3 nights in July 2026. This is an excellent hotel to stay in Jaffna, and we will definitely stay here without hesitation in our next Jaffna visit. Location is safe, convenient and very close Jaffna town. The property is immaculate and well-maintained. Staff are extremely courteous, extremely helpful and professional. The assistant manager and the receptionist, Dilakshi, are very caring and always attentive. Rooms are of good size and clean. Amenities in the rooms are adequate, but could be improved (dispensers are cumbersome). The most remarkable experience we enjoyed on a daily basis was the breakfast and dinner buffet. Food was absolutely delicious, very much authentic and was the best we had during our 3 week visit to Sri Lanka. Selection of dishes were amazing and reflected the true flavours of Jaffna. The head chef, Gillion is excellent, professional, courteous and extremely caring and accommodative, so as other chefs, Vijayan, Kajayanthan and Yuvaruban. All of them made our stay and experience delightful during our Jaffna visit. We are happy that we chose to stay in The Thinnai for our Jaffna trip."
