"Coming from California with wide lanes, we had trouble driving to it. But the staff come to to meet us and direct us in. They have parking not far, but my husband couldn't find it. No problem, he found a safe place anyway. The owner and her daughter were very friendly & helpful. They spoke perfect English. Would highly recommend the beautiful hotel, right in old town. We never needed our car."

"The owner appeared an hour after we arrived somewhat early, and cordially greeted us, and helped us settle in, and made recommendations on where to eat that evening, and prepared a very nice breakfast the next morning."
Astera Apart Hotel

"Stayed at Astera for three days and it was absolutely perfect. Super clean new-looking spacious rooms. Tons of towels and amenities and I had a gorgeous balcony. All that for 60 euro a night is crazy. My flight back from Skopje got cancelled so they also generously offered me two more night last second with the same rate so they saved my life there! I tried the breakfast once too a lot of variety and fruits and eggs. Highly recommend!!"
Apart Hotel Solaris

"Betty was absolutely fantastic. I let her know in advance that we would be arriving really late and she made sure that the parking right outside the hotel would be free so that we could use it when we arrived at about midnight after a late flight. We had a small issue with the self-check in (she asked whether I wanted her to wait up to check us in or whether we were happy with a self-check-in and I had picked the latter) with the key code but she was available straight away on WhatsApp and we got this sorted. The room was clean and having a four-poster bed was lovely. The only slight issue we had was that after using the shower on the first morning we noticed that there was a smell of stagnant water coming up from the bathroom sink. We let her know about this straight away and she arranged for a plumber to come out while we were out that day and sorted the issue. Location is just a short walk from town along the river. I genuinely could not fault the hotel and the staff went over and above. For the price it was absolutely perfect for a couple of nights stay in the capital."

"Great experience. Great hotel. Lots of greatamenities. I was thete for football , Scotland v Morth Macedonia. It was great for getting about Skopje and within easy walking distance of the sights and the stadium."

"Hotel was great, the bed was very comfortable and the AC worked well. Perfect location by the old bazaar. Only issue was that the bathroom would flood when showering, but I alerted the staff upon check out and they were looking into it. A bit pricier than other budget options maybe, but I enjoyed it."

"Really great apartment with everything you need. The only thing to note is that it is not in the best area so probably wouldn’t stay there as a solo female traveller. The mattress was also very thin and hard."
