The listing did not state that the property had no elevators to the 3rd floor where our room was located. We had to drag very heavy luggage up 3 flights. Some of the blinds were damaged as well. "Excellent location within walking distance of light rail (fast to Chicago city center), parks, shopping, and the industry museum. The kitchen was very functional and bathroom was is good order. Beds were made with plenty of pillows. Only negative was some of walls were scuffed up and the washing machine's in another area of the building. If you're taking a car, the street parking can be challenging. Otherwise, very good."

"The space itself is well thought out and felt comfortable. The room was clean and organized. Like all older buildings in Chicago, the air conditioner had mold on it and the hallways were gross - smelled strongly of marijuana. However, I felt safe and the area is beautiful. This place is a great option if you are doing something at the U of Chicago. If you want practical, this is great. If you want shiny, look elsewhere. The host was excellent."

"Everything was nice per the price. The property is located in very accessible place to all commodities at a few minutes walk. The lift seemed very old and thus made me feel anxious that I may get stuck into it. For this reason, I would use stairs to 3rd floor everytime."

"This was one of the worst places I’ve stayed. The room was dirty when we arrived, and the mattress was hard as a rock, making it very uncomfortable to sleep. They also advertise the guests can use the pool and even sent a text saying it was open, but when we tried to use it, we weren’t actually allowed to. Overall, the experience was disappointing and not worth the money."
