Farmstay in Normandy

"We enjoyed our stay. The ceilings and doorpost might be a bit low for a tall person. But the rest of the cottage is great with good facilities, like the deck with the seats and BBQ. The vegetables from the garden were so tasty and fresh, that we took a package with us home to enjoy a bit of our stay a little longer."

"We had a great stay at the poppy house. The host was exceptional. We had exceptional views from our apartment and the property is so beautiful. We enjoyed a dinner at the very quirky L'Autre Café which was recommended by our host. The food was delicious! Our only regret about the Poppy House was that we only stayed 1 night. Highly recommend!! "

"Sehr gut und modern ausgestattete Wohnung, in der wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Die Unterkunft befindet sich auf einem landwirtschaftlichen Hof, von dessen Betrieb wir allerdings kaum etwas mitbekommen haben. Der Standort ist am Rande von Ryes sehr einsam, allerdings zwischen der Küste und Bayeux auch sehr günstig gelegen."

"The gite is authentic French style whilst also comfortable and with plenty of space for a family of 7. The setting is lovely, in nice peaceful countryside but still only 5 minutes from the nearest supermarket and 15 minutes from lots of different activities including kayaking, zip wires and lakes. Outside the gite, there are different animals and the kids enjoying feeding the pony and horse each day. Joel is a very friendly and helpful host and we overcame the language barrier between us! "An excellent Gite! Never stayed anywhere so well equipped particularly in the kitchen and for young children. Sheila and Tony were great hosts. Very friendly and welcoming and very helpful with local knowledge and places to visit. Our Grandson loved the trampoline and we loved Sheila’s amazing coffee cake!!
