"We really enjoyed our weekend here! The property is cute, the neighborhood is incredibly quiet and peaceful, and being so close to Elkins was a HUGE plus. The host was also very responsive, answering all of my questions quickly and doing her best to accommodate us while we were dealing with the Spokane evacuations leading up to our trip. We really appreciated her kindness and flexibility.A few things are worth noting, especially for families with little ones. The swimming area is close, but getting there requires walking along a 50 mph road. With small children, that wasn’t an option for us, so we drove each time.The home could also use a little more attention to cleanliness and details. We found mouse droppings in the main bathroom, and the hand soap was extremely watered down, which made us a little uneasy about cleanliness, particularly with hand-washed dishes. The kitchen was also somewhat hodgepodge and could benefit from better organization.The bedrooms are pretty tight, but the bunkhouse was VERY cool! Our biggest wish there would be window coverings—the 6 a.m. sunshine wake-up on vacation was rough. We were also asked to keep our toddler off the neighbor’s front lawn while he was chasing bunnies. There wasn’t an obvious property line, so families with little ones may just want to be mindful of that.Overall, we had a relaxing stay, loved the location, and really appreciated how responsive and accommodating the host was!"

"We had an absolutely amazing stay at Whitney’s cottage! The cottage was incredibly well stocked with everything we could possibly need, which made it so easy to settle in and simply enjoy our vacation.The beach was a huge highlight. We loved having the paddle boards available, and the kids spent hours fishing off the dock and were thrilled to catch lots of fish! The hot tub and sauna were perfect for warming up and relaxing, and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space.The yard was wonderful too, with lots of space to hang out and play volleyball. There was truly something for everyone.This was an amazing vacation, and Whitney’s beautiful, thoughtfully equipped property allowed us to simply relax, spend time together, and enjoy everything the lake had to offer. We would absolutely stay here again!"
