"Wonderfully appointed apartment - nicely positioned too if you're looking for a place to stay while touring Kent's coastal towns. Owner was communicative and friendly. Would recommend."

"I booked this apartment because the description said it was within walking distance of Sandwich town centre, and the map that was displayed prior to booking indicated it was located off Moat Sole in Sandwich town centre. It was only after I had gone through the booking process for what was a seriously expensive booking, a new address was provided for the property approx 1.6 miles away in Woodnesborough! I have restricted mobility and needed to be closer to the town so I asked if I could cancel....

"Great cottage style accommodation. Kitchen/dinner, living room with a sofa the turns into two separate single beds, bathroom with powerful shower and comfy double bed on upper floor. Tv in living room and kitchen.
Great for our family of four with two teen kids. Will visit again!"

"Winterstoke is a HUGE house with 4 massive double bedrooms and a large twin room.
This does not feel like a holiday rental, it feels like a home.
I have never stayed in a property that is so well appointed, every detail is covered.
The quality of the house is really fantastic and incredibly comfortable.
The back garden is lovely with a great area for entertaining, unfortunately it was freezing so we could not make use of it.
We had a baby with us and the owner (sheila) had EVERYTHING...

"Unable to use hob. Hot water supply to bath poor Shower okay The description "near the sea" a bit misleading. Insufficient instructions and labelling with regard to bins and TV.
Overall standard of property good and comfortable"

"On Canterbury road across from the old Sea Bathing Hospital above some shops and up a side alley. Decor getting a little tired. Steep narrow stairs. checking in a pain in the rain.
Otherwise ok for a party of 4 adults."

"Brilliant stay in a fantastic cottage. Very kind and communicative owners, who were very generous in their welcome gesture towards me. The cottage is immaculately clean and has everything you could wish for for a short and longer stay. The cottage is very spacious and also peaceful and quiet so you can enjoy a truly relaxing time away. Great location to explore the coastline or Kent in land. I would love to come back in future to have the same experience again. Thanks for everything. "

"A lovely one night stay here pre theatre trip to the Marlowe theatre. The added benefit of good paid onsite parking. The hotel does a two for one happy hour for cocktails from 6-7pm with a cheese plate for nibbles for hotel guests. Post theatre is was a very short stroll back to the hotel with post theatre night caps very close by outside. Breakfast was adequate, we would have liked a hot porridge option especially as the weather is cooling down now, but breakfast good otherwise. Altogether a good stay and we would return here again."
"Nice room near the lift as requested. Enjoyed a couple of drinks in the cosy bar in the evening. Appreciated the coffee bags in the room. The location is fantastic for exploring the city. Breakfast was very reasonably priced but wouldn’t bother again. The sausage and bacon were nice quality but spoiled by overcooking. The fruit salad was just a mix of melon and pineapple.
Our bags were looked after without fuss, while we wandered around the next day. Would definitely recommend and stay again."
"We had a great stay - the huge bed was really comfortable, the spacious room was great, everything was spotless; we loved the modern bathroom. There was no view from our room, but the staff were super helpful and made a fuss of our dog and brought her welcome bowls of water in the bar every day. We really appreciated the extra pillows and the kettle in our room too. There was a good selection at breakfast, although the full hot menu was only available one morning. We should have asked for a tray to save us going to and from the restaurant to the (dog friendly) bar to eat. We loved the stylish refurbished bars, and enjoyed the bar games. Shame the restaurant was closed for refurbishment, as the food looked amazing in the photos but the bar meals were ok. Better outside signage would be beneficial; we nearly missed the hotel entrance several times in the car as there was nothing when approaching from the left. But a great stay, and conveniently situated."
"Clean and inexpensive place to stay. Room was pleasant and warm - it was wet and windy when we visited so we were grateful for somewhere to dry out! The hotel is well served by the Loop bus making travel between Margate, Ramsgate, and Broadstairs quick and easy. It’s also across from Westcross Shopping centre, which was handy when we needed to buy a raincoat and extra layers. We didn’t have breakfast, preferring instead to travel to nearby cafes. All in all, very good."
Holiday Inn Express Folkestone - Channel Tunnel by IHG
8/10 Good
"Staff are very friendly and welcoming, been there a number of times before, as a stop before we jump on Le shuttle the rooms and everything was great, but a little bit disappointing with the breakfast before we had breakfast in a bag this time. It was laid out, but all of the croissants and baked goods were so dry"
"Hotel is a little tired compared to last time we stayed. Food also not as good as it was. Needs some TLC to bring it back to more than a wedding venue or golf retreat."
