The 2016 Lake of Stars music festival was held at Chintheche Inn in Nkhata Bay on Lake Malawi. Every morning the sun rises above the lake, turning the sky pink and gold. Worth getting up at 5am for. Even without an amazing festival, Nkhata Bay is worth a visit for its stunning scenery. The area is about a 4-hour drive north of Lilongwe and has several lodges on the shores of the lake.
