The Dartmoor Lodge

"Fantastic hotel ideally located for a few days walking around Dartmoor. Staff were helpful and very friendly. So grateful for an early check in as we had a wedding to attend locally. Breakfast was excellent value for money and a good choice offered. Coffee was particular good. I notice it is pet friendly so we will be back in the near future with our springer spaniel."

"Good location in the centre of the town. The room was at the top of the stairs and the floor was quite wobbly, due to the age of the inn. The room was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast"

"Lovely little gem. Breakfast was a nice touch. Pub on site serves food and drink. Owners nice. BUT you should have a car if you are staying here. Getting a taxi can be difficult as it is away from main town. Definitely recommend staying here."

"There is a lot that is exceptionally good about the hotel. The staff are extremely helpful , the food and drinks of high standard and the spa area very good. The only slight downsides were poor WiFi although this seems to affect the whole village when we visited. We’d love to come back."

"A lovely location to stop overnight. Beautiful backdrops, I can see why it's a wedding location. Couple of nice walks to go on from the hotel too. Rooms were great, mine had a nice little secluded table and chairs to make the mos of the fresh air. Menu wasn't overly fussy and breakfast in the morning was well laid out with the usual options, The road to get there was narrow and windy in places so just take care. Would thoroughly recommend."
