Whites Hotel
Fairly standard twin room. Décor and facilities a bit dated perhaps but clean and quite acceptable for one night stay or weekend away. Continental breakfast little more than bread and cereal. Busy local bar on ground floor. 10 minutes from nearest Metro or perhaps 25-30 from the city centre.

Jesmond Dene House
Lovely big suite with large very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom with a good shower and two sinks. Bottles of water and tea and coffee making facilities were provided with biscuits and small chocolates to welcome us back which was a nice touch. Staff as always were very friendly.
