Cairn Hotel Newcastle Jesmond
Room ok, bathroom great, staff spot on but building and room way too hot in March, noisy especially 6am deliveries to Waitrose and the doors to the rooms feel like the walls are going to collapse when they close!! Nice bed but shame we couldn't have a good night's sleep in it!!

Whites Hotel
Fairly standard twin room. Décor and facilities a bit dated perhaps but clean and quite acceptable for one night stay or weekend away. Continental breakfast little more than bread and cereal. Busy local bar on ground floor. 10 minutes from nearest Metro or perhaps 25-30 from the city centre.

The Caledonian Hotel
We chose this hotel as it said there was ample parking. We went out on the Saturday and there were no parking spaces when we got back. The area is all permit parking and the receptionist could not advise on where to park.
