A shot of the ancient octagon earthworks built by the Hopewell Indians. For a stretch, the land was owned by the Ohio National Guard who restored and maintained the earthworks. In the 1930's the land was leased and turned into a country club. I suppose being a golf course prevents the land from becoming a Walmart or CVS, but it still seems a little contrary to historical preservation.
