Location was great, hotel has it charms. Unfortunately they have some issues. Beds very poor conditions, sunk in areas, they most be very old or cheap. Toilet leaks, Shower completely clogged we had to request plunger so that my husband can try to fix it. shower curtains smell bad. and had securities issues local man gather in front entrance talking load and staying long hours there, didn't like that at all.

I arrived very late due to two canceled flights, when I arrived there wasn’t anyone around to check me in. I called the hotel and no one noticed and I couldn’t leave a voice mail. Finally a staff member came down in the elevator and I said “hello”, he ignored me. He passed by a few minutes later and I said “hello” really loud and he asked “what?” I said “can you check me in my room?” He said “ that’s not my job” and proceeded to walk away. I yelled “ could you find someone then?” He said “No” and went outside to have a smoke. I never been to a hotel so badly run in my whole life! I’m disgusted. They better give me my money back!
Greatly exceeded all expectations! We were not expecting much from this place as the reviews on Expedia weren't great, but we wanted to save some money. When we turned up the lobby didn't look great, which lowered our expectations more, although the person at reception was very friendly and helpful. Once we got into our room we were pleasantly surprised; the bed was huge and really comfy, we had everything we needed including a microwave and fridge. We only became more impressed the next morning, with the breakfast included with the room price; you helped yourself to it, and there was so much choice and the food was all amazing. I do not understand the bad reviews about the cleanliness and the staff at all; all of the staff continued to be friendly and helpful throughout the week we stayed there, and the sheets and towels were always kept clean. We will 100% come back here again next time we visit New York.

We didn't specify that we needed a non smoking room (probably our fault) but, they didn't ask either and we got a smoking room. The beds were comfortable but, overall the place is not very nice.
Horrible service. Hotel offers room online when there is no vacancy. Front desk mananger does even accept responsibility simply says too bad. At 300+ paid for a room late at night one expects adequate services. Bait and switch, run away from this hotel immediately!

I will never use Orbitz again!!!!
After our flight was canceled due to weather, we were frantically searching for a hotel. I found this one on Orbitz. After a $45 Uber ride, we arrive to find out they have no rooms and Orbitz kept sending people there. The poor desk clerk had 6 or 7 reservations that he could not provide roooms for. He had been on hold with Orbitz for over an hour to try to get them to stop sending people.
I don’t blame the hotel. I blame Orbitz and will NEVER use it again.
Paid for a room with a king bed, got a twin bed instead. No point of arguing with the staff, I’m still waiting for my refund.
The room had no windows and the carpet was dirty. The place had a creepy feel overall.
Lots of sketchy people in the hallways. Terrible experience overall. Depressing place
This is our go to spot for a cheap staycation. My only complaint was the this time, the room reminded me of being in an attic. I had requested a room on a lower floor in the original reservation, but as the room was not terrible, we decided not to switch. However the Internet was a bit slow this time. This is a good reasonable hotel with several delis in walking distance and a bar/restaurant right on the corner. It is worth the $120 or so that we paid. I don't think it's worth more than that.

The hotel was ok. I. Asked for a non smoking room and we got it, but I could smell smoke bad everyday. The location was excellent! Great view of Manhatten! Easy commute to the subway.
Everything had a stale smell. The room smelled like it used to be a smokers room. The elevator always smelled like someone just finished cooking on a hotplate right there in the elevator. The hallway leading to the room on the 5th floor constantly smelled like marijuana...I don't care what you're smoking there just have the ability to provide adequate ventilation throughout the complex if you're going to provide non-smoking AND smoking rooms on the same floor. The elevator took forever to move up and down floors, if you're in a hurry - take the stares. the continental breakfast wasn't too bad...except for the eggs, don't eat the eggs. Not really sure how you can jack up scrambled eggs on a daily basis. House keeping...just wow...Cleaning carts and folded up mattresses remained cluttering the hallways all five days we stayed there. Walked up to our room on the second day of our stay only to find the door wide open, we automatically assumed housekeeping was just in there giving a routine cleaning. To our shock housekeeping instead was just relaxing. That's right, just lounging in the chair, legs spread, texting on her phone...the room still in the same manner we left it. Thanks but no thanks, get out. The in-room telephone was just a prop, there was a cord to it that had the clip broken off but that didn't matter because there was NOWHERE to plug it into. Thank God above there was no emergency present that may have called for the use of a telephone to dial out.

This is a homeless shelter that doubles as a hotel
This place is a complete dump, and the people staying here were rude.
The elevator took 10 minutes each direction, slowest elevator I have ever been in.
The check-in took 30 minutes, should have taken 5.
Bullet-proof glass at the front desk.
New York Housing Authority paperwork for homeless vouchers at the front desk.
The bar right next door had worse people than the hotel, totally rude.

Stadtnahes solides Hotel
Das Hotel befindet sich ca. 15 bis 20 min. von der nächsten U-Bahn Station entfernt. Besonderes gut hat uns der kostenlose Shuttelservice von und zur U-Bahnstation gefallen. Der Herr an der Rezeption am Abend war sehr freundlich (Lob!) und zuvorkommend. Hatte uns direkt einen kostenlosen Transfer zur U-Bahn angeboten.
Das Zimmer war geräumig. Leider konnten wir das Dachfenster nicht öffnen. Sonst war das Zimmer sauber.
Das Frühstück war gut. Es war zwar nicht groß, aber immer genügend vorhanden.

Hotel très simple, 15 à 20 mm de marche pour aller
Hotel très vieux tout est vieillot mais chambre propre et tout confort. Petit déjeuner médiocre peu de choix. 20 mn de marche pour aller au métro cela met en forme le matin, attention il y a une navette de 9h à 21h à l'hôtel il suffit de demander et on vous emmène, idem pour le retour vous téléphonez si vous ne voulez pas marcher. Nous avons testé ça marche bien.
It seems like the sort of hotel that shouldn't be featured on Expedia. There are many shady characters playing loud music and swearing outside. The room and hallway reeked of marijuana smoke and the room was disgusting. Sheets stained with questionable things and overall just nasty. I turned around and walked out. I couldn't stay there. Demanded a refund and left.

Initial room carpet was soaked. No rooms available until the next day. Was upgraded to a nicer room. 2nd room was pretty good. Not for the spoiled type who want luxury. Simple rooms that reflect the price. Good if you're on a budget for NY. Staff are great. Shuttle service can be late and same with cabs called from the front desk so leave early.

Fijn hotel vlakbij metro station
Goed bereikbaar Manhattan via metro.. ongeveer 10 minuten lopen naar station. En met een onbeperkt reizen kaart is het super makkelijk om heel Downtown New York te ontdekken.
