Block Island Beach House

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Block Island Beach House. The location is hard to beat — right on the beach and right in Old Harbor, so you’re close to everything. I’m honestly not sure there are many other hotels that are actually on the beach itself, which makes the location such a huge plus. When we booked, the only room available was the ADA suite. I’m very glad the hotel offers this type of accommodation, and for someone who needs an accessible room, having a beautiful, fully renovated suite like this is wonderful. The room itself was beautiful, updated, and very nicely renovated. For us, though, the particular location of this room wasn’t ideal. It was immediately inside the hotel entrance, and it overlooked the hotel porch. It was also right outside the hotel kitchen, so we could hear employee kitchen activity at times (more so in the morning) . We feel that it didn’t provide the privacy that would have preferred for our vacation. That being said, I would absolutely stay at the Beach House again. The location is fantastic, the rooms are beautiful and updated, and being right on the beach and in Old Harbor is such a huge advantage. Next time, I would just choose a different room/location within the hotel if available. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely come back to Block Island Beach House!"

"Great location on the island and a very clean property. Staff is friendly, but somewhat ineffective. Our room key was not left for us as advised at the check in office had we had to go the nearby Atlantic Inn to retrieve it. Continental breakfast was similar to what you'd find at a La Quinta, nothing wrong with it but disappointing for this price point. There is a large sun terrace with a great view, unfortunately 5 of the 6 loungers were completely unusable due to broken seating. Real bummer over three starry island nights. All small things, but expectations are higher for properties like this."

"We visited Ballards with a group of friends to celebrate a 55th birthday, and we had a great experience. Three couples in our group stayed 2 nights, and the rooms were very nice, clean and quiet. Having an AC was a plus! We rented cabanas on the beach which made the experience even better. The food was very good, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Overall we had a great time celebrating at Ballard’s and would definitely recommend it."

"Loved the space. We thought an extra mirror or long mirror would be helpful. Hooks for towels or another towel bar would work too maybe e near the sink for hand towels. Aldo a shelf under the sink for toiletries. Just minor things but make a difference. Even a soap dish. We have to use a towel or napkin for soap. Other than that’d everyone was very attentive and helpful for calling cabs etc. we loved the close proximity to everything. Thank you. The AC was awesome too."

"The whole experience at Hotel Manisses was wonderful ! The front desk was very helpful and had great recommendations for restaurants. They had our room ready early so that gave us a chance to get situated and have an extra day at the beach. I can’t say anything negative about the whole experience.❤️"
