"Property was great, very clean. Owners gave very clear instructions on how to operate everything. Also Mahone Bay is s a great alternative to staying in Lunenburg. The town has an excellent casual seafood restaurant and is very picturesque. We arrived on the night of a wind and rain storm so didn’t get to use the hot tub unfortunately."

"The property was very charming, clean and just the right size for a couple. Our hosts are extremely helpful and responsive for check in to check out. We would highly recommend staying in the cottage at Mahone Bay , very walkable location and much quieter than Lunenburg."

"The house itself was lots of room and all the things we needed. It could have used a good detailing. The doors, lightswitches and handles were sticky or greasy. Update to the beds would help a bit too. I do realize this is his home so some of this is normal. All in all we managed."

"I have stayed at the Blackforest cabins four times now and every time we have a very clean positive experience. There has been great communication and easy instructions for checking in and checking out. I wish they had deals for reoccurring customers because it is pretty expensive to stay even for one night."
