Opened as Burton Constable in 1864 by the Hull & Hornsea Railway, which soon to become part of the North Eastern Railway empire, this station closed in 1964. View north towards Whitedale and Hornsea. The roadside station building was still located behind the trees to the left when this image was taken, but the railway cutting underneath the former road bridge has long since been filled in.

Marton Farm, Marton, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. There are two places called Marton Farm in this small hamlet: the farmhouse here at the western end near Ellerby and some more farm buildings further east behind Hawleys Cottage, near the junction of Piper's Lane.
Langthorpe Hall, New Ellerby, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. There was a manor at Langthorpe from 1066, possibly until the mid 19th century when Langthorpe Hall was used as a farm. The house was rebuilt in grey brick in about 1830, with the addition of a Tuscan portico in 1990-91.
