"Upon arrival they could not give us a room key. The machine was down. There was a crowd of people (about 20) waiting to be let into their rooms manually. When staff was asked what do we do if we want to leave and get food or whatever, we were met with attitude and told you'll just have to wait to be let back in when we have time. The room was cleanish, floors were nasty. The mini fridge door shelves had a piece of twisted wire instead of a bar to keep drinks or whatever in. The microwave did not have the plate inside it, only the "rack on wheels" that holds the plate. I did attempt to pop some popcorn, but it was a no go. The TV was tempermental, it may or may not work.
People hung out at all hours of the night outside the door on the walkway.
The best part, We came back from the funeral to a racoon sitting on the steps eating a biscuit. I pulled out my gun and backed away. It turned and saw me and ran to the top of the steps. I made it to the top and it was still there. I'm glad it ran away from me instead of towards me, I really didn't want to have to shoot it.
It was not at all a good experience at all.
We chose this place because my husband stayed there for work one time when he had to go down for storm damage. It was not the same place at all, it went downhill tremendously.
