The Chester — Stay in a Piece of Nashville Music History
Welcome to The Chester, a beautifully renovated historic home on Nashville's legendary Music Row, once owned by country music icon Chet Atkins.
Go to this link to view the property in 3D: https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=Fg4Y6iUVFdf&brand=0
This is more than just a place to stay in Nashville—it's an opportunity to spend your visit in a home with a genuine connection to the city's extraordinary musical history, right in the neighborhood where that history was made.
Recently remodeled, The Chester combines the character and charm of a historic Nashville home with the modern conveniences today's travelers expect. With three large bedrooms, a spacious loft, three full bathrooms and accommodations for up to 12 guests, it's an ideal home base for families, friends and groups visiting Music City.
Best of all, you'll be staying right on Music Row, convenient to Downtown and Broadway, Midtown, The Gulch, Vanderbilt, Belmont, Hillsboro Village, 12 South and many of Nashville's best restaurants, bars and entertainment.
We offer self-check-in with electronic locks so no messing with keys! Each group is assigned a unique lock code that expires upon departure for your safety and security.
A Historic Nashville Home with Modern Comfort
The Chester has been thoughtfully updated while preserving the character that makes this historic home special.
The result is a spacious and comfortable home where your group can enjoy modern amenities while experiencing the atmosphere and character of an authentic Nashville property.
With plenty of room to gather together—and enough separate sleeping areas to spread out—The Chester is especially well suited for families, multiple couples, wedding groups, reunions and groups of friends visiting Nashville together.
Sleeps Up to 12
The second floor features three large private bedrooms, each furnished with a queen bed and its own TV.
The spacious loft provides additional sleeping accommodations with:
Two queen beds Two twin beds
Altogether, The Chester can accommodate up to 12 guests.
With three full bathrooms, larger groups have plenty of room to get ready for the day—or for a night out in Nashville.
Plenty of Room to Gather
One of the biggest advantages of staying at The Chester is having real living space for your entire group.
The large living room provides a comfortable central gathering place with a Smart TV for relaxing after a day exploring Nashville.
The separate large dining room features a table with seating for 10, making it easy to enjoy meals together, play games, plan the next day's adventures or simply spend time catching up.
Instead of separating your group among several hotel rooms, everyone can stay under one roof while still having plenty of space.
Fully Stocked Kitchen
Whether you're making morning coffee, preparing breakfast before heading out or cooking a full dinner for the group, the fully stocked kitchen gives you the flexibility to prepare meals at home. There is a beverage station that includes an under-the-counter ice machine off the dining room, bar tools, and an assortment of beverage glasses needed for almost any occasion, along with a blender and multiple coffee makers (drip, Keurig, and Nespresso for you aficionados).
That's especially convenient for larger groups and extended stays—and gives you the choice between experiencing Nashville's outstanding restaurant scene or enjoying dinner together around your own dining table.
Just off the kitchen is a dedicated laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer.
Relax on the Front Porch
A historic Nashville home wouldn't be complete without a welcoming front porch.
The Chester's large front porch is furnished with comfortable outdoor seating and provides another gathering place for your group.
Start the morning outside with a cup of coffee, relax after exploring Nashville or enjoy an evening conversation while taking in the atmosphere of this quiet and peaceful neighborhood.
Free Parking for 3–4 Vehicles
Free private parking is a major convenience when staying this close to Nashville's most popular areas.
The Chester has a large private parking pad behind the house with room for approximately 3–4 vehicles at no additional charge.
Leave your vehicles at the house and use rideshare for an evening on Broadway, or take advantage of The Chester's central location to explore the surrounding neighborhoods.
Stay on Nashville's Legendary Music Row
The Chester's location is one of the things that truly sets it apart.
You're staying on Music Row, the neighborhood that has been at the center of Nashville's recording and music industry for generations. Combined with the home's connection to Chet Atkins, it's a particularly fitting place to experience Music City.
From The Chester, you'll be convenient to:
Downtown Nashville & Broadway — Just minutes from the honky-tonks, live music, restaurants and nightlife that make Nashville famous.
Music Row — You're already here, surrounded by one of the most important neighborhoods in Nashville's musical history.
Midtown — Close to chef-driven restaurants, neighborhood bars and entertainment.
The Gulch — Convenient to popular restaurants, shopping and nightlife.
Vanderbilt & Belmont Universities — An exceptionally convenient location for visitors to both campuses.
12 South & Hillsboro Village — Easy access to two of Nashville's favorite neighborhoods for restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops and local flavor.
Vanderbilt Medical Center, Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital and the VA Hospital — Convenient for families visiting patients, medical professionals and anyone who needs to be close to Nashville's major medical facilities.
Experience Nashville Beyond Broadway
Broadway may be Nashville's most famous destination, but there's much more to Music City.
Staying at The Chester puts you close enough to easily enjoy downtown while allowing you to experience the neighborhoods that give Nashville its character.
Explore Music Row, have dinner in Midtown, visit 12 South or The Gulch, catch live music downtown, and then return to the space and comfort of your own historic Nashville home.
A Home with a Nashville Story
There are thousands of places to stay in Music City.
Very few can say they are located on Music Row and were once owned by one of the most influential musicians in country music history.
Chet Atkins helped shape what became known as the Nashville Sound and left an extraordinary mark on American music. The Chester's connection to him gives the property a genuine sense of Nashville history that simply can't be recreated in a newly built hotel or apartment.
Today, the home has been updated for modern travelers while maintaining the historic character that makes it special.
Whether you're visiting Nashville for the music, a family gathering, wedding, university event, business trip or a weekend with friends, The Chester provides the space, location, history and character for a memorable Music City stay.
Stay on Music Row. Stay where Nashville history was made.
Welcome to The Chester.
