"I was disappointed that my room did not have a balcony as I expected. I did not expect to have one of the rooms that has a balcony overlooking the river, but I at least expected a balcony with a "city" view. After initially moving into my room, I checked the property's website my room and, indeed, there is a picture showing a balcony. It appears that some Kings have a balcony and some do not. I recommended that their website be updated to distinguish between the two types of rooms. I brought this up to the front desk staff, and they were able to move me to a King room with a balcony. I must say though, they could have "knocked it out of the park" by moving me to a room with a balcony onto the river (mine looked out onto the parking lot). I want to specifically call out Marisol who is the person who checked me in and then followed up on my situation later in my stay. "

"Love the Elm and I can’t say enough. Truly a Gem. Travelled with spouse came for 3 nights and ended up staying here for 5. We love the courtyard and the old charm of the Inn. The staff is super helpful and very nice. Rooms are very clean and quite quaint. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast. I was expecting a muffin and fruit and got so much more. There was premade omelettes, sausages, waffles, pastries or muffins, fruit, yogurt and granola. Of course, there was always coffee, juice, tea and sparkling flavored waters. To top it off, Between 6 and 7 every night they serve warm cookies. The location is within walking distance of downtown Napa. About 30 minutes walk to the river and the far end of downtown. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Napa. "
