"I booked thinking I would be staying in the Black Boy inn with all its old world charm, but no I was told to go to the top of the road turn right and my room will be in a blue building on the left, I told the receptionist that I was expecting a room in the Black Boy Inn not a random remotely run ie no staff hotel round the corner, she replied we have several properties in the area but the Inn is full. "Hotel is in a good location, ample parking. It's a stately building fairly well maintained, though the elevator access on floor 1 is hindered by the carpeting that restricts the door from opening. Yes you have to manually open the door to access the 50 + year old elevator and make sure it doesnt swallow any body part when the door closes, very cool. The food in the attached restaurant/ pub was good, though the service was hindered by only 1 person doing everything, hotel check in and restaurant...
