"We had fantastic communication with the host and due to an unexpected and traumatic family situation Kylie was wonderful and took a human approach which was so very appreciated. The home was well appointed and very well presented. Everything was just as we expected from the description; the spa was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable and the heart pump and fire meant the whole house was able to be kept warm. "Larchwood Motel is well located. However it is severely lacking in up-keep and maintenance. Upon entering the unit it was smelly - stale alcohol/smoke. We opened up the room (it was freezing) for 15 minutes or so to air it out. The curtains are shabby and ill fitting on some windows. The bathroom was adequate but again shabby, a soiled towel had been left on the hook from a previous stay. The one positive is that the bedding/beds were clean and crisp.
