"We had a lovely long weekend at Roaring Fork Chalet with its rustic mountain vibe. Highly recommend hiking to Roaring Fork Falls - it’s beautiful! There are still several places closed from the effects of Hurricane Helene in 2024. It looks like the golf course nearby was beautiful before the storm ravaged it. We couldn’t get to Mt. Mitchell, but did get some fabulous pictures from the Blue Ridge Parkway overlook. Highly recommend strolling around downtown Burnsville - such a cute town. Homeplace Brewery was a lot of fun and we had a great brunch at Carriage House Sundries. The views were spectacular from the chalet and we enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. Such a relaxing place for a nice getaway!"

"My wife were looking to spend a month in a mountain cabin and Fox Den was exactly what we wanted. The cabin is old but has a lot of character. We loved sitting on the back deck surrounded by trees, listening to the nearby stream. There are many remarkable places to explore within a reasonable drive of Fox Den and lots of opportunities for entertainment and dining. Local people we met were very friendly. Ron provided information on things to see and do in the area, and he was very responsive to our needs and questions."

"It was just great. We are from Florida and we go to NC every year. This house is cozy, comfortable, we loved the fire pit and comfy beds. They have grill, we made chicken, salmon, stakes:) it’s close to many hikes. We saw the dears! Awesome place. Thank you Cynthia:)"

"The cabin was very remote and had great views. The patio was amazing. It was very quiet. Only thing you could hear was the brook way below the cabin. The email prior to arriving had great directions and made it easy to find. It was well stocked with everything we needed for our trip. The only thing I thought was missing that I could have used was a hair dryer. They also stated that if we wanted a later check out, it needed to be arranged prior. I reached out and they said it needed to be asked the day/night before. I reached out again and they never answered, so that was a little annoying, but we ended up not needed it luckily. The cabin itself was great and we would definitely want to return to this cabin as it was clean (there were a few bugs, but that is to be expected up in the mountains). I was also a little worried as there was a bathroom trash can that was filled with trash already and they are very strict about their two trash can limit, but that ended up not being a problem either as we only had one bag of trash by the end of our trip. The fireplace was great and they stocked us with plenty of firewood and kindling wood to get it started. They also had the fridge stocked with water which we also appreciated. We would recommend this cabin for a romantic getaway or even a group trip since there were three bedrooms. Just be aware that there are quite a few rules not mentioned before you book! "
