This property was just what we wanted. We were with another couple on a road trip and this facility was conveniently located close to great restaurants and shops. Staff was exceptionally helpful. My only suggestion would be to get firmer pillows.

The Monarch motel was very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. The property is unique and has character that made it stand out. Location was great to getting to everything you might need. Would stay here most definitely again.

This was our second visit to the Monarch and will not be our last. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We love the area and ease at which we can get to campus and good food options. Yes, if you are a light sleeper, you may struggle with the road noise and air conditioning unit, but earplugs and a white noise machine are thoughtfully provided. We also appreciated that we were allowed to stay parked at the hotel for a while past check out to take advantage of the great Saturday Market one street over.

The property has been remodeled and improvements made that make it a comfortable place to stay. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, everything worked, and it was not noisy. I was concerned about possible noise from the road nearby, but it quieted after 9:00 pm and ear plugs were given to us. The bathroom was smallish, but not uncomfortably so. There was a microwave, refrigerator and coffee machine. It was very close to several good restaurants. Staff were very helpful. I appreciated getting a text each morning asking if we needed room service. Check out was also done by text. Our room was on the second floor and there was no elevator. However, staff offered to carry our bags upstairs. I’d definitely stay there again. It was inexpensive, too.

Nice rooms BUT…. 6am garbage collectors, 6.30am leaf blower, 7am someone drilling, 7.30am tradesman’s compressors starts running outside. That’s on top of the noises from trucks in the alley delivering to adjacent restaurants etc., people in the room above on the wooden floors, and the loud a/c unit. So, if you’re hard of hearing you might get some sleep, otherwise good luck. Most isn't the hotel’s fault but the location is a liability.

We had a wonderful stay at the Monarch Hotel in Moscow, Idaho. The location is excellent—within walking distance of the University of Idaho, great restaurants, downtown shops, and the fabulous Moscow Farmers Market, which I learned is the first farmers market in Idaho and is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. One unexpected highlight was the bath and body products. I had forgotten to pack mine, and theirs were so nice that I didn't miss mine at all! Comfortable accommodations, a perfect location, and thoughtful amenities made for a wonderful stay. We'd definitely stay here again.
