About this property

Lakefront ski chalet with hot tub

  • A lakefront chalet on Lac Rougeaud, 10 minutes from the Mont-Blanc slopes and 15 from Mont-Tremblant. After a day of skiing, watch the light fade over the white lake through the floor-to-ceiling windows, before heading out to the hot tub in the forest. A fire, a game of pool, and room for up to 12, only 90 minutes from Montreal.

As you step in, a cozy farmhouse-style kitchen opens onto a big living room with a cathedral ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows over the lake and the trees. Comfortable couches, a warm atmosphere, and a pool table for the evenings.

In winter, the lake and the trees turn white beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the hot tub sits in a snowy forest. Evenings are for the fire and a game of pool.

    Outside
    • Hot tub with a cozy forest feel
    • Big terrace with BBQ and outdoor dining
    • Fibre internet (about 150 Mbps) and a smart TV

    Sleeping (up to 12)
    • Two bedrooms with a queen bed
    • Two bedrooms with queen-over-queen bunk beds that kids and adults both love

    Guest access
You have the entire home to yourselves, with the path down to the lake, the private dock and the kayaks.

    The neighbourhood
    Mont-Blanc is a winter destination.
    • Skiing and snowboarding at Mont Blanc (10 minutes), Mont-Habitant, Mont-Garceau and Mont-Tremblant
    • Snow tubing, horseback riding and snowshoeing
    • The Mont-Tremblant village, with its shops, restaurants and casino
    • Easy to reach from Autoroute 15 and Route 117, 90 minutes from Montreal

    Good to know
    • Cell coverage is good here; turn on wifi calling too, just in case.
    • The water comes from the lake and goes through our treatment system, and it`s tested twice a year. It`s perfectly safe to drink. Because it comes from nature, it can sometimes have a slight yellow tint; that`s normal and doesn`t mean it isn`t clean.
    • Coffee: a filter coffee maker, and a Nespresso Vertuo (bring your own Vertuo pods).
    • Pets are welcome.
    • Life in nature: depending on the season you may meet a few Asian ladybugs, have a short power cut during a storm, or find a balcony only partly cleared of snow in winter. It`s part of the charm, and someone local is always a call away.
    • This is a quiet place: no parties, no music outside. There are security cameras outside only, and a NoiseAware sensor that measures sound levels without recording anything.

    Québec registration number (CITQ): 251370
    • No parties or events.
    • No music outside; inside, keep it low enough that it can`t be heard from outdoors.
    • Quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. No shouting outside, especially by the lake.
    • No fireworks or firecrackers on the property.
    • No smoking or vaping inside.
    • The chalet has a NoiseAware noise sensor (no recording) and security cameras outside only. Tampering with the sensor or repeated noise complaints: CAD 200 fee.
    • Only toilet paper in the toilets.
    • Hot items never directly on wood, counters or tables.
    • No confetti, and please leave the furniture where it is.
    • Bath towels stay inside; please bring beach towels for the lake.
    • Hot tub: cover on and temperature back to 98°F after use; no food or glass around it.
    • Propane valve closed after each use of the BBQ.
    • Extra fees may apply for damaged towels or bedding, a hot tub that needs draining, or a chalet that needs much more cleaning than usual.
    • Pets welcome: off the beds and couches, supervised outside, picked up after.

Winter access dinning table

During winter, if you don’t have an FWD, you can get stuck down the hill leading to the cottage. I had to pay for towing 3 cars up the hill. The owner wouldn’t assist. We were 12 and the dining table didn’t have 12 chairs althought it was lease for 12.
