"The host greeted us at the gate with keys and a quick tour of the lovely property. This house is the best location in which we have ever stayed: Attention to detail is evident everywhere from the bed and bath linens to the kitchenware to the overall design of the unitās layout. Very clean and brightly lit, yet with excellent privacy. The neighborhood is quiet and quite suitable for a stroll to view others' gardens. Guest comfort is paramount though and through."

This was such an unexpected lovely place. Itās a wellness resort with a focus on cycling and water sports - kite surfing, kite boarding as well as yoga and spa services. The environment was a natural vibe and very comfortable. It was surrounded by trees and there was a nice path to the beach. It also had two pools. The staff was amazing- very helpful and all spoke multiple languages including English. The food was exquisite and even had options for my picky diet as well as options such as AƧaĆ...

We so enjoyed our stay here. From the expansive views over the Minho river, our guest room, breakfast, to learning about the history of the convent and its renovation by artist Jose Rodrigues. Joao was the most gracious host and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. We are very grateful to him for everything! A special place indeed.

The hotel is located at the summit of Monte Santa Luzia and offers a commanding view of the basilica standing just below it. The facility is great and servies are sufficient. The hotel manager went out of his way to help by driving home and bringing in his own WiFi converter for us to use, because the hotel equipment was waiting for repair on that day and there was no WiFi on the floor we stayed.

Excellent in every way.... The Gomariz integrates beautifully with it's surrounding vineyards. Staff is accommodating to guests with food restrictions and friendly, without being imposing. We enjoyed Tatiana's welcoming manner. Breakfast was outstanding-varied and delicious!

Our two-night stay at PaƧo de Calheiros was absolutely wonderful. We were met in the courtyard by Francisco, the Count Calheiros. He showed us to our room while giving us a quick rundown of the property and invited us to refreshments on the patio before dinner. He joined us and four other guests at dinner during which he provided an interesting history of the centuryās old estate/vineyard and the Calheiros family. After dinner the Count gave us a tour of the castle.
