A restored 18th-century Gascon barn, rented whole for up to 14: 270 m² under the original beams, a fenced saltwater pool, a 120 m² covered terrace and a view over the hills, as far as the Pyrenees on clear days. In Monpardiac, the smallest village in the Gers, 10 minutes from Marciac. The house belongs to our Pyrenean goat farm: in season we take you to see the herd, and the cheese lands on your table. Step-free accessible bedroom, 8-bed dorm for the kids, fibre wifi, air con upstairs.

THE HOUSE
A 270 m² former barn, restored while keeping what made it strong: pale stone walls, brick arches and the original timber frame that runs through the two-storey living room. The comfort is today's: new bedding, a kitchen equipped for 14, air conditioning upstairs, fibre wifi throughout.

GROUND FLOOR, step-free from the car park
• The double-height living room: open kitchen, long table, two sofas, a mezzanine above. Seats up to 35 when the furniture is pushed back.
• The ground-floor bedroom: 160 cm bed (or 2 singles), private shower room with walk-in shower, suitable for wheelchair users. Handy for grandparents too.
• Pantry, laundry room with washing machine, accessible WC.

UPSTAIRS, air-conditioned
• The suite: 160 cm bed (or 2 singles), bath and basin in the room.
• The room with the view: 160 cm bed (or 2 singles), facing the hills. It is the sunrise room the reviews mention.
• The dorm: 8 single bunk beds in a large room under the roof. The children claim it at once, the cousins too.
• 2 shower rooms with WC.

OUTSIDE
• The fenced saltwater pool, for guests only, facing the fields. Sun loungers.
• The 120 m² covered terrace: meals outside whatever the weather. Barbecue, table tennis, arcade machine.
• Large garden, hammocks, private parking for every car.

EQUIPMENT
Full kitchen with crockery for 14, dishwasher, raclette machine, filter and Nespresso coffee makers. Chromecast, Bluetooth speaker, arcade machine, projector and screen, board games, books. Travel cot and high chair on request.

THE FARM
The house belongs to the Manestin farm, whose buildings are in the village a few hundred metres away: at the house, nothing stirs. We raise the Pyrenean goat, a threatened local breed, grazing the hillsides. In season we take you to see the herd, and the cheese lands on your table.

AROUND
Jazz in Marciac 10 min away (late July to mid-August), Marciac and Mirande markets (10 to 20 min), Madiran and Saint-Mont vineyards (25 min), the fortified villages of Bassoues, Montesquiou and Tillac, walks from the door. Tarbes 40 min, Auch 45 min, Pau 1 h, Toulouse 1 h 45.

ACCESS
The whole house, covered terrace, garden, pool and car park are yours, with no shared space. We welcome you ourselves on arrival, from 5 pm, and stay reachable during your stay: we live in the village and you may cross us with the herd. Check-out before 11 am.

GOOD TO KNOW
• The price is for the whole house, whether you are 6 or 14.
• Bed linen and towels optional (€10 per person), to request before arrival. Breakfast prepared by us on request (€15 per person per day).
• On request we put you in touch with our partners: a caterer for dinner under the covered terrace or Sunday brunch, tastings of Gers produce, a basket from the Miélan butcher left in the fridge before you arrive (aperitif, barbecue, duck breast, rib of beef, €22 to €100, paid directly to the butcher), escape box and team games. Each one invoices you directly; we take no commission.
• More than 14? Holiday homes less than 5 minutes' walk away take your extra guests, and everyone gathers here for meals and the pool. Tell us before booking.
• Family gatherings (christening, birthday, cousins' reunion), quiet hen and stag weekends, team days: possible on prior request, up to 35 at the table. We are deep in the countryside, with neighbours and animals: no loud parties or music outside late at night.
• Fenced pool, unheated, open May to September. Children remain under adult supervision.
• Minimum stay during Jazz in Marciac.
• No smoking indoors, no pets.
