We stayed for a week in July. The hosts were amazing and greeted us on our arrival to give us a tour of the house. We were running a bit behind making our way down and they were more than accommodating to our changing arrival time as they live next door to the house which is handy.
The house itself is great. Loads of room for all of us and because of the shutters and thick stone walls it was plenty cool enough during the night without a/c (it was 32 degrees during the day when we stayed).
the pool is great during the summer and was ideal for the kids. They even had a selection of pool toys that the kids could use which was brilliant.
The village is beautiful, and everywhere you turn looks like a postcard. The local restaurant was nice, and as you'd expect for a village restaurant quite off the beaten track - worth a visit nonetheless.
We spoke to Claudine and Jacques about local markets and shops and they gave us some great suggestions which were within a 20 minute drive.
I'd absolutely stay again if we have the chance and the place was absolutely ideal for us (a family of 4 with a 5 month old baby).
A beautiful village steeped in history, even the walls - the fabric of the house - tell a story. The day is marked by the chiming of the church bells.
We had a fabulous 6 days, would highly recommend.
A perfect base to explore markets, medieval bastide villages and drive on roads edged with the sunflower fields and apples - on a scale we'd never seen before.
The house is stunning and well maintained. The room sizes are impressive, I will miss sitting in the lounge playing games of an evening.
We also loved the pool, and watching the birds of prey in the valley below. The local circular walk is recommended.
The restaurant 2 mins walk from the door was a fabulous evening out, too.
