"Lovely, friendly staff. We had 2 dogs with us and they were welcomed very nicely. The food in the restaurant was very average, although breakfast was excellent.
We had a king sized room, which was in my opinion very small. The room was very hot, a fan or air conditioning would be something to consider?
The bed was comfortable.
Having 2 reasonably large dogs, negotiating the upper floor was relatively difficult."
"Wonderful guest house in great location overlooking the beach. Free parking in front of the guest house and opposite the coop. Great room and delicious freshly cooked breakfast. Couldn’t believe we saw seals in the harbour and a great place for scuba diving."

10/10 Excellent
"As always, the room was maintained to a very high standard. The food was very good indeed.
The staff are always polite & helpful.
We will be back in the near future!"
"I confess that I was a bit disappointed when I first arrived - but the room was big and well appointed with an updated bathroom, and changed my tune., it’s walking distance to everything in town. It wasn’t hot inside during the heat wave, hurrah! The building itself is a bit shabby but the room was great. Very noisy at night so bring earplugs. We were lucky to get a parking spot in the street in front, but the train station car park is the backup. Breakfast was basic continental fare and kept us going."
"We had a lovely 2 night stay in one of the Garden rooms. Lovely quiet peaceful setting with lots of lovely flowers in the grounds. All the staff were really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. Room had nice sitting area at front and garden area at the back. A fridge was very useful.Spacious room, comfy bed, large shower room. Dressing gowns provided and tea coffee, biscuits topped up both days. We could walk to beach in about 15 mins. Surrounding area is beautiful. There are 2 pubs within walking distance, both very busy so book in advance."
"Beautiful stay. Room was amazing. Super clean. Little added touches such as a birthday card and chocolates. Breakfast was lovely and the whole grounds is stunning."
"Our third visit to this amazing hotel can't wait for our next visit so this speaks values. Rooms are clean beds so comfy smells fabulous. Food first class thank you once again."
"Nice Georgian building with good parking.
Kept waiting at reception to check in while a large family were allocated rooms.
Nice bedroom and shower room but approach to it was along a narrow corridor and up narrow back stairs.
Good food at dinner but served by inexperienced staff.
Nice breakfast was served in the bar as the dining room was full.
Overall a very good experience but just cannot claim to be excellent."
"Check in was great, owner sent a message the day before with relevant details. I left very early the next day so didn't actually get a chance to speak with them in person. Overall the room was nice, had everything I needed. Would happily stay again."
