"The property was easily found by using a Sat Nav. The property inside and outside was very clean. There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door. The entrance was a wooden decking which had a range of colorful potted plants and well maintained. The owner was very helpful with directions and places to visit and eat...

"We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place."

"The advert on the hotels.com website did not match the facts of the stay. The advert states free parking it was not it cost me £30 for the stay. We spoke to the owner who stated that the advert was not placed by him. It was the fault of hotels.com as he does not use them you get your info from a 3rd party All I know is that I am £30 out of pocket. The stay was good as I can not blame hotels.com for all the rain."

"We stayed at the Imperial for 1 night and were welcomed by friendly, helpful staff. We had a little trouble finding our room as we were unaware of the size of the hotel, but staff helped us find our way. The foyer entrance and palm court lounge are both stunningly beautiful and amazing examples of Victorian architecture and both had breathtaking panoramic views over Torbay, The hotel is incredibly grand with beautiful high vaulted ceilings and cornice work. Our room was on the garden floor and we had a patio door leading to the gardens, which was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. The room was a little dated, but was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed, including tea/coffee making facilities with high quality items for us to use. We opted to have breakfast included with our stay and the variety on offer was excellent, with continental or cooked breakfast on offer and many other choices, we enjoyed eating breakfast looking out over the bay. We both really enjoyed our stay at the Imperial hotel and will definitely be recommending it to others visiting Torquay."

"I cannot fault the Moxy Plymouth. I booked it because of it's proximity to the Arena and the price so was anticipating that it would probably be a bit below par. I was however extremely pleasantly surprised. The staff were excellent. The room was great, stylish and very clean. The bed was large and comfortable. The complimentary house cocktail was a nice touch. We decided to pay extra for a breakfast and had a superb unlimited choice of hot and continental items. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely book again."

"The hotel is only about a year old so the building and all the fittings and furniture are in as-new condition. The staff were all cheerful and a delight to work with. The food was good both breakfast and the evening meals. The location right on the foreshore is attractive with lovely views of the sunrise but it is well away from the centre of Torquay. When I arrived Google maps had the location 300 metres too close to the main part of Torquay so you need to check this before setting a route."

"Disappointed to find things broken in the room on check-in and dirty drawers and carpet. No where to out toiletry bag in bathroom. To be charged £15 a night for parking as we didn't book directly is ridiculous as therebis free parking on the road outside and a m permit carpark next door that charges less."
