2/10 Terrible

"The room I got was in terrible condition. The shower was dirty and the entire room had a VERY strong odor of cigarette smoke. The TV wasn't working because the cable was torn out of the wall. The bureau had holes drilled into it. The mattress was also very hard. The overall condition of the property was bad, parking was also inconvenient. For the price they were charging, I ABSOLUTELY would not have booked the stay. The one redeeming quality was that they refunded most of the payment, I booked for a week and did not stay one night."

"Well I gave one star because we stayed two of our three nights in a room where the toilet did not work. The plastic handle that holds the flapper chain in the tank snapped off - they did replace that although the chain continued to fall off and we had to reach in the tank and reclip the chain. The big issue was that the float and the pump were broken inside the tank. In order to flush the toilet we had to remove the tank lid and press the fill button on top of the pump. Every time. And pray it would fill. Also the sink was backed up- which they did not fix, and there was not a stopper in the sink. The third night we moved to another room. The toilet worked in that room. This stay was really expensive and we were VERY unhappy with a room without a functioning toilet. Nearly 500$ for the two nights without the working toilet and the clogged sink!!!! If the cleaning staff actually cleaned the toilet, it would have been clear that the interior workings needed to be completely replaced. There is an AI tech center being built in Abilene so housing the workers has driven up the price of all the hotels. I’m hesitant to mention other issues because that makes it seem like we are nit picking and this wasn’t the Ritz- however the rest of the room and the hotel were dirty. For instance, mold all over the bath tub caulk in both of our rooms, dead bugs in the hallway, floors that were covered in dirt, carpets that hadn’t been vacuumed in quite a while. Pass this hotel up."

"The hotel has an older look in the hallways. Other than that, the staff was amazing, and the breakfast was great. They serve waffles, eggs, bacon, potatoes, muffins, yogurt, biscuits, bagels, milk, and some other things. The hotel was clean, and the room looks up to date! And the staff were amazing, and they were super friendly. The kitchen breakfast staff were just as great too!"

"The room was cool-ish when we walked in, but the beds felt wet due to the humididty. There were bugs all over the room. The bathroom looked clean, but upon further observation, the shower looked filthy. The staff seemed nice and the pool looked like the best part about the hotel. It was nice for the couple of hours we needed to sleep, but not for any longer. There was also a weird smell in the room."

"This place was FILTHY. As soon as I drove up, I knew I was in trouble, but area hotels were booked up for graduations. The woman at the front desk was very nice, it the hotel clearly had some ongoing work as building arts were stacked in what should average been the dining room. That was my second clue. The room door was challenging to open and oh, the SMELL—some sort of acrid chemical odor. Third and fourth clues. Worn carpets, high I could deal with, but the sink hadn’t even been cleaned. Washed my hands and the sink didn’t drain. Had a mtg and had to drop bags and run. Returning 2-hrs later and the sink still hadn’t drained. Alerted desk and explored the rest of my non-smoking room. Cigarette burns on the comforter, stains on the couch, fridge door hadn’t been wiped in weeks or months judging by the layer of grime and dust. The TV also had streaks and there was no remote. Went to air the room using the fan, and the cover was broken along with button covers. There was a huge grease stain on the nightstand. No way I was going to get bedbugs or something from sleeping in that bed, so I bought new sheets to sleep on. I alerted the front desk to all these issues and the receptionist did her best to fix the problems. Before checking out, I asked the hotel manager to do a walkthrough and pointed out all the problems. First he gave renovations as an excuse, then said I had to talk to Expedia. Expedia says talk to the hotel. End result: I got screwed by both sides."
