It is a great and cozy stay. Everything we needed was available. Our only challenge was that the ac unit is in the living space and it was hard to cool the bedroom off. Fans helped, but it took a few hours after sunset to get really comfortable. But we were also in Memphis in July, I bet this is perfect most of the year.

Nice Apartment

Check in, accuracy, cleanliness and communication throughout the whole process were all great. Location felt pretty safe, especially compared to other areas in the city. We used Lyfts mostly to get around - we tried the bus but wouldn't recomend at all (most locals don't use the bus either as we found out).

Anniversary getaway!

It was perfect for my hubby and I to get away for a long weekend! Loved the neighborhood. Close to a terrific restaurant and an Uber away from Beale!

We liked the old school flair of the house and the whole neighbourhood which seemed very safe to us. The bed is very comfy and the interior design was also very nice. An 8$ Uber ride away from Beale Street. Would stay there again.

Great weekend stay!

This quaint little plaice was perfect for our weekend visiting our son. We were comfortable during our stay and the location was central to everything. The manager was very responsive when we reached out as well. Always courteous and accommodating! We are grateful for a wonderful trip!

Great location for Memphis exploring.

We had a great experience with this property and would definitely use it again on future trips to Memphis. The apartment is located on the second floor of an older house. It was a short 10 minute drive to downtown/ Beale Street. We parked in the rear of the building where there was plenty of room in the well lit parking area.It was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The shared balcony was a lovely spot to rest and visit after a long drive.The kitchen area was supplied with all the necessary utensils and necessities for light meal prep.The tile bathroom was gorgeous and has the most amazing rain shower head! The bed was very comfortable and the electric fireplace provided nice ambience. It was warm enough that we didn't need to use the heat function but the visual appeal was very nice.I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on future trips.

Perfect Memphis getaway

Everything in the listing is correct. The location is perfect. Downtown is a bit of a walk, but I personally enjoying walking everywhere versus driving. Property as very, very clean. it was absolutely perfect. I will stay here again next time I'm in Memphis.

Good stay

My experience was great! It’s a small place but it was perfect for what I was looking for. The only things I noticed that could be improved is the air ventilation in the bedroom, the kitchen sink faucet dripped, and the shower did not drain properly. Besides that- all was well!

Convenient lodging with character

This is a clean apartment with modern amenities in an older brick building. It is located in a real neighborhood, not a tourist district. It is about 5 minutes by car to downtown where many of the tourist attractions are clustered (like Sun Studio, Stax Studio, Rock and Soul Museum, Beale Street). It is maybe 15 minutes to Graceland. If you have a car, it is a very convenient location. The people who handled the booking were very helpful, answering e-mailed questions before we arrived for instance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Memphis Stay

Communication was excellent before and during the stay. I enjoyed the history of this building, it reminded me of my grandparents place. Couple of things for future visitors:1. There isn’t a real dresser or closet with hangers, so be prepared to live out of your suitcase. 2. On the 2nd night I noticed there were no smoke or carbon monoxide detectors. When I pointed this out they had two in a bag hanging on the door the next day. I said I would install them but I didn’t have any tools, so I activated them and left them on a table and desk. Better than nothing, and I’m sure they installed them once we left. 3. It’s great to have access to a free washer and dryer with laundry soap too. They were in good working order as well. There is a table with them that we were going to fold our clothes on, but as we wiped it down we noticed there was a bunch of ants on it. So we took our clothes back to the room to fold them. Overall, I would consider staying here again.

Originally, there was a little hiccup in the code to get in, but that was sorted out very quickly. The place is a perfect size and price for needing somewhere to stay while visiting Memphis! It was very warm in the apartment with the AC window unit being only in the living room/kitchen area and a ceiling fan in the bedroom, but with a cheap box fan that we purchased- it ended up cooling down and being perfect. I think that everywhere we went (Graceland, airport, downtown, etc) we never spent over twelve dollars for an Uber, so the location is great!

Very nicely decorated. However...

I'll write this as objectively as I can, and then add my personal take on some things. This is a wonderfully decorated and remodeled apartment, every room feels up-to-date yet reflects its historical roots. The kitchenette has everything you would need with many extras provided (utensils, coffeemaker, etc.). The bathroom is nicely remodeled, and the rainfall shower head was great! The living area was also decorated nicely, but ultimately was a frustration for us. Which leads to our personal take on things. The chairs in the living area were very difficult to get comfortable in -- in fact the chair you can see in this picture was the one we used the most, but only after we put nearly every pillow in the apartment on it as a back support. They both had an odd setup as far as being furniture to sit on and therefore not really comfortable at all. The television arrangement, while maybe okay for a few people, was a HUGE frustration for us. While the welcome document stated that local channels and Netflix are provided, we found no way to access local channels. Much of our time using the television was spent trying to figure out how a Roku works and how to use my own service account to access some channels. But we still never found a way to access local TV. Truthfully, the living area in toto was the least enjoyable part of our stay here. Moving on. The bed was fairly comfortable, but the sheets were oddly frustrating to try to sleep in -- they were similar to ones you'd find at an economy hotel, which isn't necessarily bad, just not to our liking with how all the sheets were attached together. I know that sounds weird, but if you've experienced it, you'll know what I'm talking about. Location was nice -- neither the "urban" nor the trendy part of town, just a fairly quiet neighborhood about a $9 Uber ride away from most everything you'd be wanting to see. I guess the entire visit could best be summarized by the fact that this was my wife's first VRBO experience and, while she didn't say she won't do VRBO again (she DOES like to be pampered ;-)), she said that in the future she'll want to do more research in selecting places. Again, this is NOT a bad place, it just didn't feel like a "home-away-from-home" for us.
