Ox Hotel Carlisle
Although an unusual building, looking like a school or offices, it was absolutely fine - warm, comfortable and quiet, which is all you want for an overnight stop. We were a little apprehensive becuase it was so cheap, but the reviews said it was fine, which it was, hence a bargain

Cumbria Park Hotel
Fantastic hotel, very centrally located within walking distance to the shops and parks. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We stayed in the suite which is very comfortable and clean. The shower is amazing and there is a tv with Netflix. Also the breakfast is very good with hot and cold food ...

Lovelady Shield House

Character Cottage with fabulous mountain views in the North Lakes District
Lovely little cottage for our 4 nights stay, good heating and kitchen was well equipped (not that we did much cooking) and a good little selection of games and puzzles. Perfect spot, felt like you were in the middle of nowhere but only 20 mins from Keswick. Best thing was the view!
