This is a private apartment being rented out. It's very evident that department had sent for a very long time vacant. He was not ready for rent. There was no fresh water in the hot or cold water pipes which tells me that it had been maintenance but water was ever run in this apartment. The toilet were full of rust when flushing. We had to have the property owner come and fix the hot water heater which is very temperamental. First night there we had to take a cold shower due to arriving 1:00 in the morning. The description is not as perfect as the owner portrays. There's a security guard behind a gated door that controls entry and exit out of the building at all times. We felt as though we in a prison since we had to ask the guard to open the door to let us out or let us into the building. Property owner is ever sensitive about any noise and we felt that we had no freedom inside the apartment once we arrived. It looks very cutesy but the linens in the bathroom look as they were from 20 years ago. Everything is dated in the apartment. It would have been a nice stay over the two nights we were there if it were not for the very strange private guard situation controlling the door at all times and the hot water issue. We booked this for my family for two nights as a layover between our vacation in Santa Marta. But I will not be rebooking at this place when we return back to Medellin we will stay another five days.
There's several restaurants across the street serving decent food.
