It seemed pretty and clean mostly. A variety of shops and restaurants. Not to sound too old but there were a fair number of unsavory types loitering around the shopping areas but I guess that's the whole west side of Oregon now.

I love McMinnville and traveled there to explore the restaurants and stores of downtown. This hotel is close by those and at a great location for that. However, 3 of the best restaurants were closed, so it was the wrong time of year.
