"Perhaps this was a one-time mistake/error on their behalf, but it so happened that the day I booked, a lot of things were going wrong. The AC was broken in the main room where we all slept, and consequently, it made it extremely difficult to go to sleep or relax. The solution to this issue?: Duct-tape (and not a surprise to learn that this did NOT work). The other visitors with me, whom also happened to be guests, worked together to fix the AC ourselves. This is not withstanding the fact that an extremely uncomfortable situation unfolded when the workers barged into our room at night to kick a visitor out. Though it was the correct course of action to kick him out, since, he had been verbally harassing the workers and other guests; this, nonetheless, did extremely affect our stay and experience."

"We have stayed here several times while coming to Denver for Stranahan's Cask Thief event. It's a little on the pricy side, but it is very well kept up and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There are restaurants and museums very close by and their bar (Fire) has great drinks and a good breakfast in the morning. I'm sure we will stay here for as long as we keep coming to Cask Thief. I recommend it for whatever you are up to in the area."

"We had an amazing stay at Populus! We booked the Poplar Two Queen corner room, which was spacious and featured massive windows with an incredible view of the tower. Beyond the stunning biophilic design and the cool carbon-positive mission, the dining was a major highlight. The food at Pasque, the lobby restaurant, was absolutely excellent. The beds were super comfortable, the staff was welcoming, and the location is perfect. Will definitely stay here again!"

"Everything went well with check in but we were awakened early in the morning by loud construction noises right above our room! A very unpleasant wake-up call! The complimentary breakfast was nothing to brag about either. The buffet was out of many items and this was over an hour before the end of breakfast service."

"No microwave in my room. No bathroom exhaust fan. Thermostat would not go from cool to heat, only temp up and down, causing it to be very humid in our room, poor ventilation in our room, had to sleep with tiny window open listening to police sirens and gun shots all night. Valet attendant was very pushy about getting my car keys, even when we were just trying to load vehicle and leave. 57 dollars is outrageous for parking."

"Horrible experience. No hot water for the shower, room was probably around 90 degrees and I specifically called down to the receptionist but no answer. Left multiple messages and never a call back. Slept maybe an hr after driving 16 hours not only because of the heat but also the banging of the doors all night long. Then, I had valet bring my vehicle in which the attendant proceeded to tell me he put the $51 charge on my tab, but I had already prepaid for parking thru Expedia. To boot, I couldn't get a printed, itemized bill because nobody was working the front desk, only the valet attendant. Almost $250 for a $120 room that was way too hot and water was freezing to shower never mind the overcharges for parking. Never stop here again."
