"They started off by giving me my room key which was on the third floor followed by "the elevators are not working. You'll have to take the stairs." Got all my stuff out of my car and took the stairs to the 3rd floor. My key card wouldn't work. I went back down the stairs and told the gentleman at the desk.(He was very nice btw). I followed him back up the stairs to the room. He realized then that he had already put someone in that room.
He told me to wait and he went back down to get me another room. He asked if a double was okay instead of a king. I told him that was fine. He came back up and put me in a room directly across from the stairwell. For the next several hours all I heard was the door opening and slamming shut. They need to get that elevator fixed.
I brought my own food since the room had a microwave. The microwave didn't work.
There are only a few channels to watch on TV and the Internet kept going out. I turned on the a/c and realized later it was blowing out black dust.
The plus is that the gentlemen was kind and the room was clean. Bed was comfy.
The hotel is in between owners. I would wait until the new owner steps in..whenever that would be?
So thank you to the only gentlemen on staff that is working really hard to make a bad situation better. I can't imagine how many times he's had to climb those stairs.
New owner- give him a raise. "
