"This felt like such a glamorous and historic hotel, we were on the first floor with a outdoor patio that overlooked Lake Geneva, and the beautiful landscape mountainside. The staff was super friendly and informative, and they never acted like they were bothered by our inquiries. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area, and for all the comforts and amenities, I think the price was more than reasonable! It was probably my favorite stay over my one week travel through Switzerland. The lake path is right there, so the location is extremely convenient, and you can basically walk the lake path to get to any place in the area, including Chillon castle."
"Kitchen was equipped although we didn’t cook, only boiled water for tea. Room felt like a student dorm room. We were on the ground floor next to the breakfast room, it was a bit noisy in the morning. Sports team was staying the same time as us, felt like we were given a forgotten room. We were only staying one night so it was fine. "
"Maren was the BEST! She checked us in, was available for questions later and was handling the breakfast. She was a huge PLUS for us! Rooms were cozy and breakfast was delicious with many options. Would definitely stay there again! "
"We stayed in one of the panoramic rooms -only way to do it. Incredible views. Rooms are clean, need a little pain touch up but otherwise great. We had a little balcony that was nice for sitting/relaxing. 24hr coffee/treat area was super cute and convenient. Location was great for exploring and train station. Spa was small but nice. The sauna doesn't get super hot and the steam room is crazy hot but otherwise it was nice to have them. Would def come back for nicer weather as they had a lot of outdoor spaces and outdoor bar that looked fun. "
"I stayed at this hotel for only one night and the experience was extremely disappointing. For a hotel carrying the name Freddie Mercury, the minimum expected would be basic cleanliness and maintenance, but unfortunately that was not the case.
When I entered the room, I immediately noticed several black hairs on the bed sheets, and there were also hairs on one of the pillows. This is absolutely unacceptable for a room that is supposed to be prepared for new guests. It gives the clear impression that the bedding was not properly cleaned or changed.
In addition, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom, which is a very basic thing that any hotel should check before a guest arrives.
The floor next to the bed headboard was dirty, and the headboard itself was detached from the bed and simply leaning against the wall, showing a clear lack of maintenance. To make matters worse, the TV remote control did not work.
Overall, there were far too many basic problems for a one-night stay. Serious issues with cleanliness and organization that make the experience far below what should be acceptable. This place clearly needs significant improvement."
"The hotel has a really welcoming atmosphere, with a comfortable reception area, and modern decor. Staff are really pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was great. The location is a short walk from the music venue Les Docks and very close to the Vigie metro stop. "
"We were so looking forward to a 1 night stay here as part of our honeymoon. As regular travellers to Montreux we were excited to finally try Suisse Majestic but were bitterly disappointed.
Paid for a deluxe lake view room. The room itself was ok, but the bathroom was very poor and cramped. The shower head didnt stay up, and access was limited. The "balcony" was tiny - very disappointing. Our main gripe was the temperature of the room which was set at 27 degrees - way too hot! We couldnt adjust this as this is "hotel policy". The phone in the room didnt work, so we tripped down to reception. Advised to open the door. This didnt have much effect so ended up with the door open ALL night - not much sleep with outside noise from traffic and friday night revellers. Weed smells started drifting in from about 6am, so we gave up. Definitely wouldnt return."
