"I had a nice stay at this property. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool was a nice amenity, and I liked the charm of the hotel. I had an amazing massage at the spa and enjoyed the breakfast. Buque was extremely helpful and charming, as well as Nodino (?) at the front desk. They were very accommodating with my early arrival. Thank you!"

"On arrival, we were told that our room had been allocated to other guests arriving the following day and that there were no other rooms available. Eventually , after being persistant and not taking no for an answer, we were allocated a smaller unit that needed maitenance, but luckily everything was in working order and the view of the ocean was great!"

"Great location and manager, but notable service gaps What I liked: The location of ONOMO Hotel Maputo is fantastic—it is truly near everything in the city! A few days into my stay, the ceiling in my first room started leaking. However, the hotel manager stepped in quickly and moved me into a much bigger, upgraded room with a fridge. The catering/restaurant staff and the manager were wonderfully friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. The breakfast buffet was also great and hot when I first started eating it. What could be improved: The breakfast buffet tended to get cold later in the morning. When I raised a concern about this, the frontline reception staff were unfortunately not very friendly or welcoming. Furthermore, despite booking an airport shuttle well in advance, the front desk forgot about it; I had to manually remind them to find out where my driver was. At 2,100 MZN (around £25), the shuttle felt quite expensive for a service I had to chase up myself"

"The property is only half finished. It is 5star accommodation on a building site. Luciano who was the main man there could not have been more generous with his time and hospitality, and he turned what might have been an average stay into a pleasant stay. The roads or should I say dust tracks to get to the property are interesting and we had great times on the quad bikes scooting around on them. Ponto de Ouro was a fascinating place. Very much a seaside village, where bargaining is very much part of life."
