"Great cottage for a stay with dogs. Warm and cosy, wooden floors everywhere and a door to stop them going upstairs. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture, huge beds with good bedding. Everywhere clean and tidy and really good to have a bath as well as a shower for a nice soak after a long walk. Also grateful for the detailed instructions from the owner how to find the cottage as we may have driven past the lane. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the Matlock area...

"Nice quirky barn conversion and on a working farm if you like that sort of thing. Not well signposted and accessed by a farm track I wouldn't like to negotiate in winter. Given it's a twenty minute walk into Cromford a few tea bags and milk would have been welcome when we got there. Wine nice touch, tea facilities essential. Yes we could have taken our own.. "This cottage is in the perfect location! Pubs in the doorstep, beautiful surroundings, easy access to local attractions. The cottage itself if very well maintained, well equipped and very comfortable. We came with a 2 and a 5 year old and the bedrooms were spacious! We used a toddler bed and this would have easily fitted in the main or the second bedroom. An option of a stair-gate would have made this even better as the rooms open directly into the stairs (as with most cottages). Stairs leading...
