    Thistle Bee cottage is bright and cheerful and features 6 window AC units for your comfort. Located close to the lake, downtown and Hoover Auditorium, you can relax on the porch or second-floor balcony. You'll find four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. First-floor bedroom has a queen bed. Three bedrooms upstairs, one with a queen bed, one with a twin bed + bunk (1), last bedroom up has 2 singles, full mattress in the loft and its own half bath. On the first floor there is a full bath with a tub/shower combo. Upstairs you'll find a full bath with a stall shower. The main floor is an open concept layout featuring a large kitchen with modern amenities including a dishwasher, washer/dryer, and TV. Maximum occupancy of 11. No pets allowed.

There were children's books and toys which was appreciated. Location is very convenient to the pier and downtown Lakeside. There was an outdoor grill which we liked having to cook dinner. House was very dirty. Our baby's pajama legs were covered in dirt after crawling on the carpet. Several doors were missing door knobs. Bring your own toilet paper as no extra rolls were provided.
Stayed 7 nights in Aug 2026
