Our waterfront, single-family home, affectionately named “Turtle Cove” is a tastefully furnished Florida Keys home and located on a quiet side street, in a residential neighborhood. The home is equipped with six (6) outward facing security cameras to protect the property, which will be disabled upon guest’s arrival with the EXCEPTION of the two (2) dock cameras. strictly for water safety purposes. There are NO cameras inside the home.

Inside, the open living and dining room space is great for gathering with plenty of seating for everyone; a great environment to sit back, relax and talk about your daily and upcoming adventures!

The main level has two (2) bedrooms: one canal side with a king bed, TV and sliding glass doors to access the outside; the second has a queen bed and a TV. Our lower level, which is accessible from the outside ONLY, has a full and twin beds, a seating area with a TV, a little serving station with a microwave, small refrigerator to hold some essentials and a washer and dryer.

Our outdoor living area features a lovely saltwater pool with tanning ledge. The lanai, a covered area provides outdoor dining/sitting and a TV to relax in the hot tub and watch your favorite shows. A gas grill, propane tanks and bait freezer are also provided for your convenience. Use of the dock is complimentary and has a cleaning station, electricity and water access.

If you don’t have a boat of your own, there are plenty of rental/guide services in the area. We have one (1) tandem kayak with seats and life jackets for guest's use. When you aren’t out enjoying our beautiful Atlantic Ocean or your private pool and hot tub, you’ll enjoy a host of other entertainment options: just minutes to Sombrero and Coco Plum Beaches, the Turtle Hospital, Crane Museum and just a short drive to the Dolphin Research Center or Aquarium where you will learn about the wonderful sea life in the area.

In case you can’t get to the outdoors or to our sites or are winding down in the evenings, we have large screen TVs, a DVD player to watch movies and have a few games and puzzles if that is your thing.

There are so many great restaurants to try in the area, it will be hard to pick a night to stay in and cook on your own. But if you do, you’ll find that our kitchen is stocked with cooking essentials. You’ll appreciate the stainless steel appliances and granite countertops with plenty of room to prep! Of course, we provide standards: a coffee pot, keurig, toaster, blender and plenty of serving dishes.

NOTE: If we are offering a special last minute rate/promotion, it is for last minute specials ONLY, we do not apply the special rates to advance bookings made when the special was not offered.

We ask for a Saturday to Saturday bookings from mid-January to the second week of April; all of June, July and mid-August. We sometimes have some flexibility to book different dates during the offseason but only if we are within a couple weeks of the dates.

• Minutes to Sombrero Reef: Cruise straight out to one of the most beautiful snorkeling, diving, and fishing spots in the Florida Keys.

• Wide, Deep-Water Canal & Dock: Our dock sits on a beautiful, 60-foot wide canal providing effortless turning radiuses and stress-free docking. While the basin itself is deep and wide, please note that the natural channel entrance can run shallow depending on the tide cycle.

• Boat Size Recommendation: While neighbors regularly bring in boats from 30ft to 40ft, we recommend a maximum boat length of 30ft with a shallow-to-moderate draft for effortless, stress-free navigation at all tide cycles. If you are an experienced boater, you can get in and out of our canal without a problem. Please reach out before booking if you have questions or concerns so we can provide more details if you require them.

• On-Site Trailer Parking & Easy Launching: Launch your boat effortlessly at the fully paved Marathon 33rd Street Boat Ramp, located conveniently close to the home.

Occupancy: Rates are based on the standard occupancy, which is six (6). You may have up to eight (8) guests by Monroe County's Ordinance, but we charge additional occupancy fees of $120/week per person. plus tax, in this case. If you are unsure of your total, book with six (6), then update us when you know. Deciding later will save you up front booking fees and unnecessary taxes. Please note prices are subject to change without notice.

Parking: The front of the house has mostly gravel and a concrete driveway. There is more than enough room for two (2) cars and a trailer depending on the size.

Seasonal Seaweed Notice: Like much of the Florida Keys, our ocean-side canal experiences natural seaweed accumulations at certain times of the year, typically during the summer and fall. While this is a normal part of our local ecosystem, it may temporarily affect the canal during your stay.
