"Everyday we got to explore another island which we were transported to by the staff with lunch and drinks towels and chairs and umbrella which they also set up thanks to Api. The room was amazing with indoor/outdoor bathroom. On our last night they prepared our soaking tub with bath oils and flowers. It was an amazing experience thanks to Fred our Captain and Asa our main concierge who made sure we had transportation back to the mainland for our early flight."

From the moment we were picked up by the red boat, we were made to feel so welcome with everyone we met giving us a huge genuine grin and a “Bula”. "We have been visiting Fiji for over 30 years now, and have enjoyed holidays at various island resorts there first as a young couple in our early 20's, then as nearly-weds, newly-weds, followed by taking our kids at all ages/stages from toddlers to teens and then as adults. Musket is by far our favourite Fiji resort, and exudes a quieter charm all its own. The absence of a Kid's Club doesn't mean children aren't welcome, but it does mean that you can enjoy a more grown-up setting and offering than say, neighbouring Plantation Island Resort - which you can walk to for a change of scene if you want. Despite usually being at-capacity (on checking with staff), you never feel crowded due to the layout of bures and space to explore around the island. Staff are kind and friendly, food is excellent (cannot emphasise this enough), and the bures older but well-serviced. Sandbar snorkeling is magical, as is the option of cooking your own BBQ (included) and meeting yachties from around the world at Island Bar, or just watching the sunset with Steven (a friendly doggy local) and a cocktail in hand. Cannot wait to get back! Vinaka vakalevu."

"3 of us on a girls weekend away felt very relaxed and despite being a family friendly resort the adult only pool and multiple restaurants and beach day beds and hammocks made the resort feel very low key and relaxing. The staff were amazing and can't be faulted. We did the full food inclusive package which was extremely worth it and the food options were not only tasty but plentiful. Would definitely recommend 👌 Vinaka Malolo Staff"

Serenity Island Resort

8/10 Good

"If money is no object, skip this review and book elsewhere. Otherwise be advised: Get the all-inclusive add-on, it includes alcohol, great value. AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS RESTAURANT. You could easily consume 6x the cost of the all inclusive add-on with two meals a day and drinks. You should know it'll cost $450 FJD each way for two people to get on scheduled hotel boat from Vuda marina to island. Hotel will gladly invoice you $70 for an airport taxi, though there's one waiting on the airport curb to deliver you exactly the same place for $45. If you arrive on an evening flight (not in time to be at the marina for that 6pm boat) be prepared to get an invoice for over $1,500 FJD for the transfer. If you call Vuda Water Taxi Services he'll deliver you there on a lovely private speed boat day or night for only $400. It's sad that the hotel is greedy that way. Their overcrowded resort boat is more expensive than a private water taxi. The water taxi guy is a local who keeps all the money. When I was there I heard of a dispute where the resort wasn't compensating their water taxi guy fairly and they were using a different temporary one. They are undercutting the locals and upcharging tourists to get to their resort. I didn't see it disclosed when I booked, in fact it cost more to get there and back than to stay 3 nights all inclusive! Also, take what you need. The store isn't a store. I repeat, not a useful store. Staff are wonderful. Great pool. Ok beach and snorkeling. Sai is GREAT!"
