"We really enjoyed our time at Galleria Midobaru. Even though the hotel was out of the way for guests without cars, it was still worth it. The private onsen in the room was fabulous. "Very friendly and helpful staff, simple and filling breakfast provided. Though a small hotel with a cafe, the room is cozy yet large enough for a whole family of 4-5 with all the amenities provided. It’s near the train station and a large 7-11 with surrounding good food and walking distance to all the places of interest. Although there’s no elevator, the staff had helped to bring up our luggage to the room as we explored Yufuin, since check in is after 4pm. Check out is very late though, till 5pm, hence it’s great for those who want to explore more or just make use of the onsen or lounge. Overall a very satisfying stay and highly recommended!"

"The Fairfield by Marriott in Aso is a very comfortable hotel like the Fairfield in Nikko where my wife and I staid before. The rooms are clean, modern and with a lot of light coming in through a big window; comfortable enough that on a rainy day we decided to stay in the room almost all day. Personnel at the reception is very friendly and helpful.The restaurant selection in the area is not the greatest but there is a Lawson Station shop nearby. Additionally the hotel offers free coffee, tea etc. and sells some food items which can be heated in microwaves if necessary. The Fairfield is located near the local train station and has sufficient parking space if you come by car. "

"Everything is done correctly and attention to details are second to none. I would suggest they limit the age of young children as they can be noisy and annoying screaming and running around the resort."

"I loved everything about the Yufuin Bettei Itsuki. The staff had amazing service. We stayed in the Sakura room and it was perfect. The 2 onsens were so great. We added on the Kaiseki breakfast and dinner and everything was so delicious! I hope to stay here again in the future. "

"Excellent hotel in Yufuin! Location is mins walk away from Kinrin Lake so you can enjoy the excellent morning view. Hotel room is clean and comfortable, and the private onsens are really great for relaxing. Dinner and breakfast are really must try in my opinion. Staffs are all very friendly and helpful too."
