"We came in late late late and were able to just zip over from the airport in a matter of minutes. There was parking super close by and it was so easy to get into the place even though it was around 12:30 a.m. It was a tiny room but it was the perfect size to just watch a little internet tv, fall asleep and wake up to the sun shining off the quaint streets and beautiful waterfront. The shower was great. There was a coffee machine and, even better, a coffee shop almost directly across the street....

"We were very pleased with out stay. The apartment is about as close as you can get to the beach of Machico without being on it. Dozens of cafes/restaurants in walking distance, two grocery stores as well! The apartment is small but the location helps make up for it. All amenities were as described and we didn't feel like we were missing anything. Parking is difficult during the day if you have a car. I would recommend parking about two blocks north in a parking lot by the police station (free)....

"Our fanily of 3 had a wonderful stay at this Machico property. The kitchen had everything you need and the location a few minutes walk to the beach and good restaurants was really nice. We really enjoyed Secreta restaurant and highly recommend it. If you are renting a car, be advised the underground parking is challenging for larger vehicles, compact or subcompact is best. "This apartment was located just steps away from the waterfront in this seaside town. It was spacious, comfortable and had a well appointed kitchen with a washing machine (bonus!!). Our host was very friendly and pointed us to some great restaurants. Just one negative … because it is so central, the weekend evenings tended to be loud until around 11pm. "

"The house was spotless and a good location to get on highway. It was near the airport and could hear planes landing and taking off but did not hear planes after 11 p m. The owner lives in lower level and was very nice but did not speak much English and I do not speak Portuguese so checking in was a little complicated. I liked the location it was not as busy as Funchal and overlooked the mountains. The island is spectacular and would definitely recommend a stay on this island. "
