"The majestic old hotel might be dated to some, but there is a lot of character on show.
The staff were excellent, even during storm Boelo when there were power issues and access difficulties with fallen trees. They quietly put on free tea and coffee for stranded guests waiting for the road to reopen.
Evening meal was excellent, fish and chips excellent again. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, lots of good options, fresh scrambled egg, but sausages let it down as none of us could determine any flavour to them.
Bedrooms in the garden wing are dated, but great if you want a bath. Beds as always were massive and gave excellent support."
