"What a wonderful host. David and his wife Milly are so kind she even brought us fresh picked tomatoes from her garden. They are the sweetest people. I’m glad I had to opportunity to meet them and really enjoyed talking with them. I would stay here again for sure. What a cute cabin with everything provided while sitting on a secluded piece of property. I enjoyed sitting outside listening to the animals. We will be returning. "

"Communication was proactive and showed a genuine concern for our comfort during our stay. There was an error in double booking on the property’s end and they made extra accommodations for us and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The owner is a very kind person and reached out on a few occasions to ensure we had everything we needed. The cabin was beautiful, well maintained, and clean, and had great amenities for cooking. We enjoyed the brand new grill outside and also used the fire pit and enjoyed the local hiking trail. It is close to Mammoth Cave and we really enjoyed spending half the day at the park then relaxing at the cabin for the rest of the day. Highly recommend!!! (Side note - we are now at our next cabin destination of our road trip and we are missing the comfort and amenities at Maple Retreat!)"
Heavenly Hideaway- Lakeview Cabin

"The cabin was pretty clean overall other than a stained comforter in one of the bedrooms upstairs. I would highly recommend the owners replacing the comforter as it made us not want to sleep in that bed. Taking our luggage down the front sidewalk was difficult as the steps are rocky and uneven. It looks pretty, but it’s not conducive for people trying to bring in their luggage. The cabin could definitely use a little TLC inside such as fixing a few broken cabinets, recliner broken, toilet seat on 1st floor broken, etc. Deck could use some resealing for sure but overall the property was very pretty and had everything we needed. The view was very pretty. I would stay again as the price and location was good, but I do think the owners could do a few small things to upgrade the property for minimal and labor."
