Conkles Hollow is a state nature preserve within the Hocking Hills region. Its sheer cliffs of Black Hand sandstone rise nearly 200 feet above the valley floor. The deep, cool gorge, which is only 100 feet wide in places and is considered to be the deepest in Ohio, has numerous waterfalls cascading over its sandstone cliffs. The lower trail through the gorge is about 1 mile and is accessible for the most casual of hikers. The rim trail is a couple miles long and is a bit more strenuous.

The Old City Fountain was obtained through the J.W. Fiske Company, New York City. The zinc structure cost $3,215, raised by a local women’s group. The fountain was dedicated on July 17, 1890 and has been in continuous operation since. It is one of two replicas that legend says once stood in Etain, France. The second copy is in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The beautiful view overlooking Lake Hope, the namesake of the 2,983-acre Lake Hope State Park. The park lies entirely within the 26,824-acre Zaleski State Forest. The park provides opportunities for #hiking, swimming, fishing, camping, photography, dining, and general R&R. The park even has a really cool summer program where you can feed hummingbirds from your hand! You hold a vial of sugar water at arm's length and from out of nowhere the hummingbirds start appearing! If you're steady and patient, they'll begin to feed right in front of you!
