"The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect. "Had such high hopes for this place, based on the images and location, but was so disappointed when we arrived. Genuinely considered leaving and paying to go elsewhere. Host was really great with communication and checking in, but wished we knew before booking that you actually stay at the scratty end of their property, with all the chicken coops and sheep. "This was our second visit to this lovely cottage. It is very quaint and cosy. The setting is very peaceful - lots of birds singing and rabbits in the field. There is a busy road next to the cottage but that didn’t detract from the feeling of tranquility. The hot tub is fabulous. It’s a great base to explore the local area. It’s so easy to get a bus into Pocklington which is a lovely market town with good shops, pubs and restaurants. We had a great holiday and will definitely come back in...
