"We stayed in the Havana tower and it was great compared to Golden Nugget we had stay the 2 nights prior. Tropicana has now become my home in Atlantic City. I'm a sucker for hotel themes and Tropicana is the perfect property."

"First, I really appreciate Expedia’s response on this platform. They answered my questions clearly and were willing to communicate, unlike some other companies that do not respond to customers’ concerns at all. Second, the parking-payment instructions during check-in were not clear. There was no clear notice that guests needed to scan the parking barcode and pay the parking fee before going to their hotel room. The sign said, “Pay before you go away,” but that wording was confusing. Does it mean before going to the parking garage, or before going to the room? We assumed, as is common at many hotels, that parking would be paid when checking out. However, the front-desk staff later told us it was too late and that we had to pay $45, because the online payment had to be completed before checking in and entering the room. I hope the hotel can improve the wording of the instructions. For example, it would be much clearer to say: “Please pay for parking first, before going to your room.” Third, please be aware that this hotel does not provide a hair dryer, coffee maker, or hot water. Guests should bring their own if needed. Thank you for take these comments into consideration. Anyway, room is clean , hallway has some garbages. Island water park is Amazing ! We had a blast !"

"Upon entering the room, there was a musty smell. There was also a loud clanking noise coming from the vent in the bathroom. The northeaster was coming through and it may have had something to do with high winds. The room was clean and neat and the bed was quite comfortable. Since it was off-season, parking was no problem for us. But again, since there was a northeaster, we parked in the parking lot right behind us. It was free because of the storm. It was supposedly higher ground. The surf club is only a block from the boardwalk and very convenient to everything."
