"Easy and comfortable place to stay at this grand old hotel. May account for the odd musty smell at times. The bar entrance area is a great place to sit with a view, beautifully upholstered arm chairs with an art deco vibe. Stayed in the heritage room - standard basic room - so no view and the bathroom was dated and in need of a reno. But clean and comfortable. The bed was the best. King size and really comfortable. The room was spacious and pleasant. Tv needs an upgrade to smart tv. Parking is easy and free. Pool hotel is a great place after a walk in the national park - which is glorious!! Initially booked for 3 nights and booked an additional night. Great place to visit. 😊"

"We had a pleasant stay here with the family, plenty of space inside the apartment and central to the town centre for convenience. Extremely minor issue with access into the rear of the apartment which was outside of the hosts control. Thank you for being active in respons to make our arrival easier. "

"The place was fantastic for our weekend. Really central to everything in the area. The bedrooms were huge and the dining area living area were a good size for us.The kitchen had a fantastic amount of space and was nice and modern. The bathroom was the only let down, so if you prefer a modern, clean, non shabby bathroom, in its current state, this isn't it :) We couldn't use the towel rails as any time we went to put a towel on them the whole thing would fall off the wall onto the floor. We were with two slightly older ladies who also pointed out that the shower was very slippery to get in and out of as there was no rail/handle - something we hadn't considered until we got there and experienced it but is a fair point to consider if you're needing accessability. (as an aside the entire house was full of spider webs and spiders when we entered so hopefully that was just an issue of it not having anyone stay for a while)Overall, we did really enjoy our stay at The Cottage though, it suited us very well - just a few odds and ends that can be made even more awesome. "
