I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting La Spezia, Portovenere or Cinque Terre. Short car drive to catch the ferry or train! House has a beautiful Mountain View, Italian breakfast was amazing, room was comfortable with a very nice bathroom but most importantly, staff was very welcoming and gave us amazing tips as to how to make the most of our short stay in La Spezia. We will be back!

This place is STUNNING! It is a 1600's monastery that was converted by a husband and wife team to into a bed and breakfast. They are the ones that run it and truly take of their guests out of personal pride for what they have created. It is located on quiet hillside surrounded by vineyards and farm land. Wow. Amazing. Beautiful. I can't say enough great things about this hotel/ bed and breakfast and the wonderful people who run it. A converted mansion with just a few rooms, it was amazing. Beautiful garden with a fountain, roses, an aviary. House and garden is filled with artwork. It was more like staying at a mansion or a museum than a hotel. Gorgeous historical villa, with amazing cliffside views of Alassio, phenomenal restaurant, and an amazing garden. The room that we stayed in was well appointed, had luxurious decorations and a lot of historical decor items. The infinity pool was gorgeous, and the drinks were phenomenal. The restaurant was also very good, and we had to try the five course prix fixe menu. The staff was amazing, and were very courteous, professional and helpful.

We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The host was so incredibly hospitable, generous, and kind. He gave some fantastic recommendations for local sites that we otherwise may have never seen. The room was clean, cozy, and had plenty of amenities. Breakfast was delicious, and the view was even better. He even went the extra mile to pack us a lunch with our breakfast leftovers to take with us on the road. I can’t recommend this B&B enough!

Le séjour chez Sonia a été parfait, son accueil, ses conseils, la propreté et décoration de l hébergement, la proximité du centre ville (10mn à pied), le parking privé…. Alassio petite ville très agréable avec toutes les commodités, bref tous les ingrédients pour que le séjour se passe bien. Étant de la région niçoise nous reviendrons certainement pour profiter de la douceur de cette partie de la Ligurie

(We traveled 9 days in Italy during what locals called the "off season" from March 6th to March 17th, 2015). We traveled from the U.S. 88 Miglia was spectacular. The best view in all of La Spezia. The hike to the hotel took us through a nice neighborhood with cool views. The owners were so nice and welcomed us well. We took the local train to Manarola and Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre area (very close to La Spezia). We would visit 88 Miglia again!

great place! you will need an international phone to get into main building, then know the code to get into the b and b. tricky but instructions are good. parking pass available from host, but you’ll never find a place - reserved ahead of time through parkmeter at the sas garage about 8 min walk. from there it’s a 20 min walk to the old town. our host josefina was incredible - very helpful and gave us a great breakfast in morning. even a to go one when we left early. rooms are comfortable, and...
